In 2008, the international 1000 Genomes Consortium launched the 1000 Genomes Project to develop a public resource of human genetic variation. This resource supports genome-wide association studies and other studies involving genetic variation, health and disease. All data for the 1000 Genomes Project are freely available to the public through the 1000 Genomes Project website and dbSNP. This information was pulled from the Coriell 1000G website on September 2, 2021.
