The Harmonized Diagnostic Assessment of Dementia for the Longitudinal Aging Study in India (LASI-DAD) is an add-on study to the Longitudinal Aging Study in India (LASI) focused on late-life cognition and dementia. LASI-DAD drew a nationally representative, sub-sample of 4,096 LASI participants aged 60 and above and administered an in-depth cognitive test battery and informant interview that is harmonized with the U.S. Health and Retirement Study and its sister studies around world.

This sample set contains 1008 scans derived from 993 unique subjects. 970 study scans are derived from 960 subjects and include 10 pairs of duplicate scans. 38 1000G control scans are derived from 33 subjects, of which 5 are intentionally duplicated. The study subjects occur as 913 singletons and 22 families. The 1000G controls include ten trios. The DNA samples were genotyped at MedGenome Inc. using the Illumina Infinium Global Screening Array-24 v2.0 BeadChip.
